In which industries can SLCP be used? What are the contents of its IT system? How to share verified data?

SLCP is a multi stakeholder initiative aimed at reducing audit fatigue and improving working conditions in global supply chains. SLCP has implemented a Fusion Assessment Framework (CAF) to effectively collect and validate social compliance data.

Scope of application of SLCP

SLCP is widely used in industries such as clothing, textiles, furniture, and footwear. In recent years, the use of SLCP evaluation in different industries can be seen in the following figure.

The further expansion and diversification of CAF is part of SLCP's five-year plan, which is currently expanding into the consumer electronics industry, including but not limited to electronic toys, electronic/computer accessories (laptop bags, phone cases, etc.), lighting, electric bicycle accessories, electrical accessories, etc.

SLCP IT System

The SLCP IT system consists of a gateway and multiple AHs.

Gateway

The central database of SLCP, which is also the starting point of the evaluation process, securely stores all verified SLCP data on the United Nations server. There are four functions:

1. Display open resource information related to the SLCP evaluation process;

2. Display the factories on the gateway and their current SLCP evaluation stage;

3. It is a digital link between SLCP system users (i.e. factories, verification companies, verifiers, and hosting platforms, etc.);

4. Share verification data with AH and end users (after factory authorization).

Verified Host (certified hosting platform: AH)

The existing platform allows factories to upload SLCP data for verification and sharing with business partners.

All round AH:

1. The factory submits its self/joint evaluation data here;

2. The verifier submits the results of on-site verification here.

Omnidirectional and unidirectional information hosting platform:

1. End users (such as brands) can access SLCP verification data after factory approval;

2. Interpretation of SLCP validation data.

Three methods for sharing data

Share directly from Gateway

Send a link and the end user will receive the verified evaluation report in both PDF and Excel versions directly.

Through an accredited hosting platform

Send verified evaluation reports and data to end users from recognized hosting platforms.

Through a brand hosting platform

Send the validated evaluation report directly to your brand's customer system.

Note: The factory can only share the final validated report with end users, not simple self-assessment/joint assessment data.
