The sustained growth of SLCP

In 2023, the adoption rate of SLCP's Integration Assessment Framework (CAF) in small and medium-sized enterprises has significantly increased, and its usage scope in different levels and adjacent industries has been further expanded. Among them, China's verification rate has reached 39%. The use of SLCP is becoming increasingly widespread worldwide, and the number of verifications is increasing year by year. The total number of verifications isexpected to reach 11000 by 2024.

The 3 steps of SLCP

Step 1=Essential covers major social labor compliance issues, most of which are related to International Labor Standards (ILS) and National Labor Law (NLL).

Step 2=Progressive focuses on supportive social labor compliance issues but less criticalmanagement systems and issues. These issues typically arise in the social responsibility industry and certification standards.

Step 3=Advanced covers issues that exceed industry standards for social responsibility, are not required by national or international laws, but strive to improve workplace well-being and community impact.

When choosing which step to complete, consider the following factors:

Buyer Relationship: Understanding the buyer's needs. Many buyers require at least step 2 or more. The questions included in step 2 or above can often be found in industry standards or codes of conduct. The SLCP website provides a list of steps required by brands and retailers to accept SLCP.

Legal Compliance: Step 1 Evaluate your compliance status based on international labor standards and domestic labor laws.

Factory size: If your factory is small (such as less than 500 workers) and you don't have many buyers, step 1 may be the most suitable choice for you.

Your target level: If you want to cover all information in terms of social performance, such as worker welfare and community projects, choose step 3.

The evaluation process of SLCP

1. Data collection

The factory fills out data collection tools through self-assessment or joint evaluation.

2. Verification

The factory selects a validation company, and the validation company assigns validators to complete the validation.

3. Data sharing

The factory browses data/reports and shares them with partners.
