About subcontracting - Outsourcing The organization can outsource the handling and processing of the claimed materials to subcontractors. In this case, the organization acts as the contracting organization. The organization shall bear full responsibility for the outsourced materials to comply with this standard. The subcontractor shall not have common ownership with the organization. All the claimed materials are purchased by the organization itself, only some processes are outsourced. Classification of subcontractors 1. Joint subcontractor, this subcontractor is not certified and will be audited together with the organization. Among them, the organization acts as the presiding party, and the subcontractor will also be included in the organization's SC scope certificate. The organization should retain a list of subcontractors' information, including the subcontractor's name, address, contact details, and outsourcing processing steps. 2. Independent subcontractor, this subcontractor has been certified and holds an independent SC scope certificate. For independently certified subcontractors, the list information should also include the subcontractor's certification body, license number, and the expiration date of the scope certificate. If this independent subcontractor is to be included in the organization's SC scope certificate, the organization's certification body should notify the independent subcontractor's certification body (CB) by email. About the contract between the organization and the subcontractor The organization should sign a contract with each subcontractor to determine the work to be outsourced. 1.
